The Voice Within the Wood
For more than three decades, my life has been guided by a single, resonant truth: every object has a soul waiting to be uncovered, and every piece of wood carries a song waiting to be set free.
From the age of thirteen, I found my purpose in the art of restoration. What began with breathing new life into vintage motorcycles and forgotten antiques blossomed into a lifelong devotion to the alchemy of sound. Today, from my private workshops in the United Kingdom and Cologne, I handcraft the Saxaflute—shaping natural bamboo, dark reeds, and exotic hardwoods into what is simply the finest sounding bamboo saxophone on the planet.
My journey has been a nomadic symphony. For thirty years, I have chased music across the globe, sharing my craft at festivals and handmade markets from the rugged coast of Maine to the sun-drenched shores of Spain, and from the vibrant heart of Vancouver to the horizons of Australia. Wherever I travel, I hunt for musical treasures—rescuing antique wind instruments, discovering rare horns for teachers and students, and curating pieces for museums and collectors worldwide.
To me, a Saxaflute is not just an instrument; it is a bridge between nature and human emotion. There is a profound, quiet joy that fills my workshop when a piece of raw bamboo transforms into a vessel of music. But the true magic happens when that instrument finds its way into your hands.
My hobby became my passion, and my passion became my life’s work. To every musician, seeker, and dreamer who has ever played one of my notes: thank you for giving my craft a place in this world.

My fascination with music stretches far beyond the workshop bench. For over thirty years, playing music and collecting instruments have been two sides of the same coin. As I wander the globe sharing the Saxaflute, my eyes are always scanning flea markets and antique shops for other rare and unusual instruments. Truth be told, I often return from my travels with more musical treasures than the ones I set out to sell.
Whether passing vintage saxophones to teachers for their students, discovering rare pieces for museums and auction houses, or selling directly to fellow musicians online, I am driven by a deep reverence for wind instruments of all eras. There is a sacred magic in connecting a musician with an instrument that has a history. Every time someone chooses one of my handcrafted Saxaflutes or a rescued vintage horn, it fills me with a profound, quiet gratitude. You haven't just supported a business; you have allowed a lifelong hobby to become my true place in the world. Thank you for keeping this passion alive.
