Handmade by Johnny

All the Saxaflutes on my website are personally made by myself. I have two workshops and construct each instrument there. One in the United Kingdom and the other in Cologne. My workshops are not open to the public as they are attached to my home. In the past I have attended festivals and events from the Coast of Maine to the Coast of Spain. From Vancouver to Australia and everywhere in between. With 30 years experience of events, handmade markets and festivals of all sorts.

I've been making things for most of my life. Restoring bikes, cars and motor cycles from the age of 13. Fixing up old objects was a way of life for me. Buying and selling antiques and collectables ever since I knew how too. With the love of music, motor cycles and collecting I have found myself able to create a living from what I love. 30 years later I am busier now than I have ever been. When not in the workshop making or restoring instruments you can find me at the local flea markets, antique shops and local instrument dealers looking for treasures.

I have been collecting, buying and selling other musical instruments ever since I have been playing music. (over 30 years) While travelling the globe selling my Saxaflutes I have also looked for other interesting instruments. Sometimes buying more instruments than I make. Occasionally I sell through ebay or directly. I have supplied Sax teachers with horns that they pass on to their students, Sold saxophones to other musicians and other musical instruments to museums, auction houses and customers all over the world. It is the love of wind instruments and anything musical old and new that drives me to continue with my passion. The personal touch and excitement when someone purchases one of my instruments also keeps me going through life. There is a special joy inside of me when someone meets me and purchases one of my Saxaflutes or used instrument.. My hobby has become my job which in turn has enabled me to find my place in life. For that I am grateful to each and every customer I have. Thank you.
